Metropolitan ties up with Summit Hotels & Resorts

New Delhi: The Metropolitan Hotel here has ended its tie-up with Japan's Nikko Hotels International and is now a member of Summit Hotels and Resorts, a brand of the Chicago-based Preferred Hotel Group. The Preferred Hotel Group has more than 390 distinctive hotels across 62 countries. "Sharing the same vision, ethos and philosophy, The Metropolitan Hotel is delighted to associate itself with the world's most preferred luxury hotels as its first ever member in India," said Metropolitan Director Vipul Gupta. "We are thrilled that The Metropolitan New Delhi will be our first Summit property in India. We look forward to growing and achieving success together in one of the most dynamic marketplaces in the world for hotels," said Ananya Narayan, Preferred Hotel Group Asia-Pacific managing director. Summit Hotels and Resorts, with exquisite hotels in every major gateway city in Europe, North America and Asia, are well known to invite savvy international corporate travellers to experience a genuine sense of peace, recreation and comfort. Sunair Hotels Ltd that owns The Metropolitan Hotel has ambitious growth plans for the future. It intends to develop luxury business hotels under The Metropolitan brand in major metros like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai. There are also plans to expand its signature Japanese restaurant Sakura across major cosmopolitan centres in India including Gurgaon, Bangalore and Mumbai.
