PUNE: On the back of increasing business demand, Mastek Limited, a software solutions and services provider, is ramping up its operations in Pune development center. The company will add about 450 people, mainly solutions architects, technical architects and business analysts for architecting solutions for its global customers, in addition to domain specialists in the insurance vertical, Mastek’s Chairman, Ashank Desai said, adding, The recruitments will fulfill the company's need for skilled people, which had recently procured a number of new contracts. Mastek had recently entered into partnership with Euriware, the $228 million consulting and IT services group, for which it will set up an offshore development center in India. Desai said, “We are looking at Pune and Mumbai as possible locations for this venture and are working out the details with senior management of Euriware.” Currently, Euriware employs an estimated 2,000 people, largely in France and is a subsidiary of energy group, Areva. Recently, it entered into a license agreement with the $2 billion Capita Life & Pensions as part of which the latter will use Elixir as its platform of choice in a number of future operations. “The component based solution reduces time to market new products, reduces claims processing time for insurance companies and can be customized to create solutions for customer-specific needs,” Desai said.
