Markets climb back in afternoon

Mumbai: Indian equities climbed back to the green Wednesday afternoon after falling below the psychologically important 9,000-mark earlier. About an hour before the closing bell, a key index was ruling 0.84 percent higher than its previous close. The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading at 9,110.46 points, up 0.84 percent or 75.46 points. The BSE midcap index was ruling 0.24 percent higher, while the BSE smallcap was down 0.15 percent. The broader-based S&P CNX Nifty index of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was at 2,805.15 points, 1.25 percent higher than its last close
