BANGALORE: Former Maranti founders Kuldeep Sandhu and Santosh Lolayekar have joined Xiotech Corp to head its development team in the Silicon Valley. Last year, when Maranti Networks unveiled an intelligent network storage services controller, there were rave reviews all around. Analysts had praised it as the most intelligent platform on the market. The three Indian Americans founders of Maranti, Kuldeep Sandhu, Santosh Lolayekar and Harish Nayak, are, however, no longer with the company today. Founders leaving a startups isn’t unusual. At Xiotech also, the founders Phil Soran, John Guider, and Larry Aszmann had left their start-up to find competitor Compellent Technologies, In tech world, the entrepreneurs who get things up and running rarely transition into day-to-day guys. Maranti founders' exit followed appointment of Debbie Miller as CEO of the company in February 2004. Her move coincided with $26-million third round funding in February this year and there were rumours about the founders being pushed out by venture capitalists looking for change.
