MapInfo launches R&D center in Noida

Bangalore: MapInfo Corporation (NASDAQ: MAPS), global provider of location intelligence solutions announced opening an R&D and technical support center in Noida. President and CEO of MapInfo Mark Cattini said, "The launch of MapInfo India underscores our expanding global presence and establishes a new R&D office in one of the world’s leading technology centers." Cattini also announced that Manish Choudhary will be spearheading MapInfo India as its Managing Director of operations. He expressed confidence in Choudhary’s years of experience to ensure best practices in R&D and technical support. MapInfo India will focus on driving global R&D efforts, enabling the company to better service partners and respond to customer needs. "MapInfo is dedicated to its world-class engineering team and our entry into India is a strategic move for the business to benefit from a substantial pool of software engineering and R&D talent in this region," said Manish Choudhary, Managing Director, MapInfo India. The Noida office is recruiting engineers from across India, especially National Capital Region in all levels of Java and .NET technologies for software product development, quality assurance and technical support activities. MapInfo is looking forward to hiring fresh graduates from leading Indian technology institutes as well as additional experienced engineers to work on the research and development of its location intelligence software products.
