Manugistics to expand India operations

HYDERABAD: Manugistics Group Inc, a technology and management solutions provider has announced plans for its Indian operations with an investment of about $75 million over the next 10 years. Having established a center in Hyderabad a year ago, the company plans to increase the staff strength from the existing 162 to 200 by early next year. And gradually it will ramp up to 300. After inaugurating the new solution center, company’s Chief Executive Officer, Joe Cowan said, “The company recorded revenues of $193.1 million during the financial year 2005 and expected a significant growth in future. We are planning 24/7 support operations from Hyderabad to meet the increasing demand for supply chain management solutions, while concentrating on technology consulting.” Thought the company was yet to start its operations in India, but several low-cost airlines and other firms were in active consultation with the company for deploying its solutions.
