Mahindra Satyam wins $48 Million deal from Denmark firm
Bangalore: Mahindra Satyam has signed a new four-year contract worth about $48 million with Danish IT firm KMD. The contract is an extension of a previous contract which involved the supply of application development, testing and application support services, reports PTI.
KMD, which specializes in the public sector, signed a renewed contract with Mahindra Satyam for the next four years ending December 2013. The new contract is an extension of a previous deal from KMD that was due to expire this year, the company said.

"The new contract is an extension of a previous contract that was due to expire this year which involved the supply of application development, testing and application support services particularly in the area of SAP which is a growing business for the Danish IT company," Mahindra Satyam said in a statement.
The contract involves stronger partnership and multi- fold increase in business commitment with offshore work conducted in a development centre in Bangalore. The scope of application development work covered would primarily include SAP and other technologies.
According to KMD CEO Lars Monrad-Gylling, "The offshoring project with Mahindra Satyam allows KMD to achieve even greater growth in the SAP development area and allows us to offer customers a reduced time to market".
