Ma Foi to increase overseas presence

Mumbai: Ma Foi Management Consultants, human resource services provider is looking to expand its overseas presence in south east Asia and the Middle East in 2007. The company intends to recruit 6,000 people a month up from about 4,100 people a month on the permanent staffing side. K. Pandia Rajan, Managing Director, Ma Foi said, “From our presence in 8 countries currently we plan to be in 16 countries next year. This will include offices in Shanghai in 2 months and Hong Kong in China, Thailand, Phillippines, Kuwait, Doha (Qatar) and Saudi Arabia.” It has 92 offices in India and overseas. The client base has over 1,334 companies including Monsanto, Astra-Zeneca, GE Capital, Ford Motors, Hyundai Motors, Satyam group, Infosys, Enron, Haldia Petrochemicals and HSBC. Currently, the HR firm has 9 overseas offices in 7 countries – UK, US, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, UAE and Oman. It is opening an office in Bahrain this month. Rajan said that Ma Foi will be making an overall investment of 35 crore for overseas expansion and technology upgradation during the next year. “We are expecting to close 2006 with revenues of 340 to 345 crore. We want to touch 500 crore by next year,” he said. The company is planning to increase the number of Ma Foi Academy of training centers to 100 next year from the current 23 centers. Ma Foi is looking to have 30,000 deputees next year from about 27,000 associates now. In Flexistaffing business, Mafoi places 1,000 staffers a month. Ma Foi is the public limited company a part of Vedior a staffing company.
