MS Office 2013: What Matters For The Enterprise

2. User Interface

Another great feature that Microsoft has brought in its new Office is the User Interface that is expected to go down well with enterprises using several devices including PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, all-in-one systems etc. This comes as a great help in implementing BYOD as employees will bring various devices along with them.

For bigger devices like PCs and laptops, the user interface is kept conventional that can be accessed using mouse and keyboards. But with handheld devices, the Office suite is optimized in such a manner that it supports radial menus, swiping, pinch-to zoom etc.

The user interface has also been streamlined to simplify the user experience. The major reason that will attract enterprise is that the news user interface makes working on Office more fun and productive giving them the freedom to work on devices as per their own wish. It will encourage the employees to put in their extra efforts and work with something that is more fun.
