Lupin enters into alliance with U.S. firm

Mumbai: Pharmaceutical major Lupin Laboratories has entered into a promotion and marketing agreement with U.S. based Forest Laboratories for its Aerochamber line of products, it announced Tuesday. Under the terms of the agreement, Lupin Pharmaceuticals U.S. will use Forest's 50-person sales force to promote the product to paediatricians in that country, the company said in a regulatory statement. AerochamberPlus is a valved holding chamber device with metered dose inhalers, which Lupin says improves delivery of medication to users. Lupin managing director Kamal Sharma said the alliance would extend Lupin's presence in the respiratory segment.
