2) Betta Fishes –

Betta Fishes are not just visual delights but easy to live with as well. Their colours and expressionless eyes seem to have a hypnotic and calming effect on people. A reason behind this might be that water has a soothing effect on us humans. These vibgyor fishes truly reflect the sun and bring the entire room to life. Apart from their physical charms, Betta fishes have much more to offer us. They are smaller than the average sized fishes intended to keep in fish tanks. The major advantage of these fishes is that they do not require too much of a hassle in the tanks. They do not need many fancy plants, filters or air-pumps. This reduces their maintenance costs to a very large degree. These fishes, however, like warmer water and so one might need to keep a temperature indicator for the fish-tank. These fishes also do not need too many water changes for they are more tolerant of dirty water. This does not mean that they should be kept in an unclean environment. Also, do not keep them in too claustrophobic places because they like their homes a bit spacious. An average sized aquarium will suffice for Betta fishes. Also, since some varieties are endangered, one might not be able to keep those ones as pets. If taken good care of, these fishes can live as long as 5 years. So, they too can witness the next government come to power.
