Loop Telecom launches services in Karnataka and Kerala
Bangalore: Loop Telecom, earlier called BPL mobile, has launched its services in Karnataka and Kerala as it gears for a pan-India roll out. The company is among the new mobile services companies to be awarded licenses to operate across 21 circles by the telecom department. Its services which were launched last month in Tamil Nadu and Orissa will be available under the brand name Loop Mobile. Sanjeev Chachondia, CEO, Loop Telecom said, "We have successfully launched our services in Tamil Nadu and Orissa and now are present in Karnataka and Kerala too. The network is performing well and we have received an encouraging response from the select group of people testing the network. Subsequently, we will roll out a wider range of network coverage and services with the same momentum. Plans are in full swing for a commercial launch shortly." The sequence of circles launch is in sync with the sequence of spectrum allocation. To ensure that subscribers enjoy uncompromised network coverage across the country, the telecom operator has entered into roaming arrangements with other operators. It had recently given an order to ZTE, a technology provider, for its network infrastructure. Loop Telecom's launch will also provide mobile users in the country with a wide range of value added and innovative mobile phone services and products.
