MUMBAI: Logix Microsystems has entered into an agreement with US based DCI Marketing for providing offshore development support in the area of customized automobile sales solutions. The company has informed BSE in this regard. The execution of the first few projects is already underway since September 2003 and is expected to be completed by February 2004. The initial team size is 15 and is expected to increase to 50 in an year's time. The company had entered into a three-year strategic tie-up with Yahoo for its automobile shopping division, Yahoo Autos in April. It has around 200 automobile dealers connected to Logix's flagship product izmocars, which is its animation technology that lets car buyers see 360-degree virtual tours of interior and exterior views of over 500 vehicles. The company intends to acquire 200 additional customers in 2004 in the US and is also in process to win other portals over with izmocars. Since US is the largest auto market with some 37,000 auto dealers, the company would continue to concentrate only on Western markets as it feels that the Indian market has not matured to the same extent. The company is targeting only big dealers that have revenue in the tune of $ one billion annually. (Courtesy: CIOL)
