L&T bags 5.76 Bn contract from HPCL

Mumbai: Engineering and construction major Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has bagged a 5.76 billion order from Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL).
HPCL, which operates one of its biggest refineries at Mahul here, intends to set up a lubricating oil base stock (LOBS) plant as a part of its quality upgrading project.
HPCL said in a statement the contract has been awarded to L&T on a lump sum turnkey (LSTK) basis.
The scope of work for this LSTK order includes residual process design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, transportation, storage, fabrication, inspection, construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion and pre-commissioning of the project.
