New Delhi: Kingfisher's Lucknow-Delhi flight Saturday did not run short of fuel and was returned to Lucknow as a routine procedure during traffic congestion or bad weather conditions, the airline said Monday. "We spoke to our flight commander. Over a dozen of aircraft were hovering over Delhi's airspace then. It was a common procedure followed by the air traffic controllers (ATCs), where the aircraft was diverted to Lucknow owing to bad weather condition. There was nothing to panic," Kingfisher spokesperson Prakash Mirpuri said. He was reacting to media reports Monday morning that the aircraft ran low on fuel and the 100-odd passengers on the flight had a mid-air scare. "The aircraft have advanced gadgets. No aircraft can be short of fuel. The aircraft has the necessary extra fuel all the time, which can be used whenever required," Mirpuri said.
