Thiruvananthapuram: Axis Bank (formerly UTI Bank) has accepted a pricing and billing software solution prepared by Kerala's leading IT solutions company SunTec. SunTec in a statement Monday said it was happy that it could meet Axis Bank's expectations in time. "With an ever-growing customer base like that of Axis Bank, it gets more challenging by the day to deliver consistent and personalised customer experience," said Nanda Kumar, CEO of SunTec. The solution provided by SunTec would help Axis Bank to consolidate its billing and centralise and streamline pricing processes. The solution will also help Axis Bank create personalised product packages. "SunTec's solution allowed us to consolidate all our home-grown billing processes. This improved our efficiency and we have deployed the solution in two separate phases for our current accounts, cash credit accounts and savings bank accounts. The implementation was remarkably quick," said Subhakanta Satpathy of Axis Bank. The project began March 2007 and was completed December 2007. Axis Bank is SunTec's second banking services client in India after ICICI Bank. Axis Bank was among the first of the new private banks to begin operations in 1994, after the banking sector in India was thrown open to private players. SunTec, headquartered here, is a pricing and convergent billing solutions company that offers transaction management solutions for communications, media, entertainment, banking and finance, insurance and utilities industries. Its clients include Comcast, Cable One, Batelco, BSNL, HFCL, ICICI Bank and Lloyds.
