MUMBAI: Kale Consultants Ltd, a solutions provider for airline and banking industry, plans to expand its outsourcing business to other industry verticals like banking and travel and transport. The company, which offers end-to-end revenue accounting and sales audit services to the airline industry, will soon include cargo sales audit and interline billing among others, a company statement said. The company is naming its business process outsourcing (BPO) arm as managed process services (MPS). The branding highlights the value-added nature of Kale's offerings, wherein the complete responsibility and ownership of outsourced business processes rests with the company. The company's new MPS centre was inaugurated by National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) president Kiran Karnik Tuesday. "We are proud to inaugurate our new centre, which will help us improve operational efficiencies and meet the needs of new customers," said Kale Consultants managing director Vipul Jain. "Our MPS growth plans are based on a three-prong strategy - increased customer acquisitions, increased service offerings in the airline domain and penetration into new verticals like banking and travel and transport." "This is the first phase of expansion of our outsourcing services. Over the next three years, we expect MPS to grow exponentially and form the back-bone of our business growth," Jain added. The centre currently accommodates around 200 people per shift. Jain said the company plans to recruit 800 employees by 2006.
