K L Sardana Honored with Priyadarshini Award
Fremont: K L Sardana, A Telecom giant, Red Cherry Corporation from New York was awarded with Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award on 17 Nov, 2011 on the eve of Late Indira Gandhi's 94th birthday. The event was held at India International Center, New Delhi. Nearly 20 people were awarded the Indira Gandhi Awards and these presented by Dr Bhishma Narayan Singh, former Governor, Chairman Reception Committee. K L Sardana is a committed, dedicated and popular visionary, philanthropist, social activist who has been helping the under privileged people in U.S and India financially and morally. He has been in Long Island, NY for more than two decades. He engages in the social service for both (U.S and India) the countries equally in all these years. Sardana owns one of the largest prepaid companies in New York, U.S. Minister of state for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries, Charan Das Mahant; Chairman, Board of reconstruction of public Sector Enterprise, Nitish Sengupta ; Secretary,AICC, Major Ved Prakash; Chairperson, Guild of Service, V Mohini Giri; Member, National Commission for Backward classes, S.Z.Anzari were some of the notable figures at the award ceremony.
