BANGALORE: Magma Design Automation, a provider of semiconductor design software, today announced that KPIT Cummins Infosystems Limited has adopted Magma’s integrated IC design flow including Blast Plan Pro, Blast Noise and Blast Fusion. The deployment of Magma’s next-generation software has already enabled KPIT Cummins to achieve significant improvements in time to silicon and development costs, while meeting power and area requirements. As IC design continues to push past the sub-nanometer frontier, it becomes increasingly critical to have a design flow that reduces design time and costs while meeting specified requirements and allowing achievement of the desired quality of results (QoR),” said Praveen Acharya, vice president, VLSI, KPIT Cummins. “As a VLSI design services provider, we are always striving to deliver the high productivity with QoR that differentiates us in the minds of our customers. The adoption of Magma’s tightly integrated IC design flow has further strengthened our services portfolio for our key customers.” “The adoption of Magma’s integrated IC design flow by a well-known VLSI design services provider such as KPIT Cummins demonstrates the value of Magma’s products in today’s market,” said Atreya Nagaraja of Magma’s India operations.
