KBC, Amitabh Finally Hand Over Rs 5 cr Cash Prize to Sushil Kumar

The team of the game show Kaun Banega Crorepati 5 (KBC 5) and show host Amitabh Bachchan have finally handed over Rs 5 crore cash prize to fifth season winner Sushil Kumar. The winner met Bachchan and the reality show team at the CNN-IBN award function in the capital where he was given the money. Talking to PTI, Amitabh Bachchan confirmed giving the cash prize to the winner. Big B said, "KBC would never have been possible without its brilliant team. This season was really special with special contestants. Sushil Kumar has proved the show's tagline - 'Koi bhi insaan chota nahi hota'. We have handed over the Rs 5 crore cheque today." Meanwhile, Sushil Kumar said that he has received the cheque. The KBC 5 winner said, "Contestants on the show come with such fantastic stories from real India which probably none of us have ever seen. I feel guilty, they struggle for a single light bulb when we have hundreds of lights in our homes. That sentiment is just heart breaking." However, the KBC team as well as Amitabh Bachchan were given the CNN-IBN Indian of the year award in the entertainment segment. Big B said, “Working on the show is a tough task, but it's an opportunity for me to do good. When I came to television, people said it was a mistake but fortunately it has worked out very well."
