SUNNYVALE: Juniper Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR) Thursday announced that one of Japan's largest digital subscriber line (DSL) providers, ACCA Networks Co. Ltd., will deliver a wide range of high-quality broadband services based on the E-series platform. ACCA provides ADSL to major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and premium DSL to carriers requiring high-quality access lines for data network services, such as wide area Ethernet and IP VPN. The company plans to expand its markets and revenue by extending services to smaller ISPs and enterprise customers using the E-series platform's virtual routing capabilities. This approach enables ACCA to cost-effectively deliver differentiated services that address different customer requirements in areas such as security and bandwidth levels. "The E-series delivers superior performance and we have extreme confidence in the reliability and stability of the platform," said Masao Suemura, Manager, NW Engineering, ACCA Networks. "This is important because it directly impacts operational expenses, including maintenance and labor costs, and is linked directly to our ability to provide an assured user experience to an expanded market." The E-series platform strengthens ACCA's position as a major Japanese DSL provider by enhancing the performance and the reliability of its DSL services and enabling the company to expand them to a wider geographic area and a new customer base. "ACCA's focus on new customers and new services reflects an emerging regional trend away from commoditized broadband access towards differentiated value-added services," said Masanori Osuga, vice president for Japan, Juniper Networks. "Juniper Networks is pioneering this shift exemplified by the Model for Integrated Network Transformation, or MINT. We are delighted to partner with ACCA to realize this transformation in the rapidly expanding Japanese market."
