Juniper Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:JNPR) today announced a new tiered Global Alliance Program designed to help customers rapidly and profitably implement new network solutions.

SUNNYVALE: The program identifies best-in-class qualified partners to deliver integrated solutions using the Juniper Networks product portfolio. The Juniper Networks Global Alliance Program is made up of several alliances: the OSS Alliance, the Infrastructure Alliance, and the Content Delivery Alliance. The OSS Alliance Program augments the policy and control layer of the recently announced Model for Integrated Network Transformation (MINT) and provides comprehensive, best-in-class solutions for service providers powered by partnerships with leading OSS vendors worldwide. OSS partners are categorized as Premium, Preferred and Select, with each tier representing the level of engagement between Juniper Networks and the partner. Partners are qualified by Juniper Networks based on the solutions they offer to its customer base. The tiered OSS Alliance Program extends a variety of benefits to chosen partners including early access to software enhancements, participation in beta programs, and interoperability testing. This program enables partners to quickly and easily benefit from Juniper Networks open, standards-based router instrumentation. Members of the Premium tier include Arbor Networks, Inc., Dorado Software, Inc., InfoVista Corporation, Micromuse, and Orchestream. For a more detailed list of all partners in the OSS Alliance, please refer to www.juniper.net/partners. "With the OSS Alliance Program, Juniper Networks is demonstrating its increased level of commitment to facilitating management solutions by providing strategic planning and validation of top-tier Premium OSS partners," said Peter Ambrose, manager, Solutions Design and Support, TelstraClear. "The Juniper Networks lab validation process ensures full integration with Juniper Networks platforms prior to deployment, which simplifies operations and enables services to be deployed in a more efficient and timely manner." "Juniper Networks recognizes that feature-rich network management interfaces, such as the XML-based JUNOScript, and seamless OSS integration are key to the successful integration of Juniper Networks platforms within customer networks, said Kevin Dillon, director of Portfolio Marketing at Juniper Networks. "The OSS Alliance Program leverages the strong relationships that Juniper Networks has with the Premium independent software vendor (ISV) partners to deliver real solutions that our customers can deploy today." The Juniper Networks OSS Alliance Program is designed to maximize service velocity, assist in streamlining operational efficiencies, and reduce operational expenditures. Training time for new applications is minimized and network operators can build upon existing skill sets when deploying Juniper Networks platforms. "We're pleased Juniper Networks has selected us as an OSS Alliance Premium Partner," said Tim Sebring, CEO, Dorado Software. "Redcell(TM) products provide uniform access and control of the network infrastructure. Our success in Juniper Networks validation program strengthens our ability to offer end users off-the-shelf network and service administration products that reduce operational costs and generate revenue at the best price." "We are delighted to be a Premium partner in the OSS Alliance program," said Anthony Finbow, CEO, Orchestream. "Working with Juniper Networks, we provide seamless service management across the industry leading M-series and ERX product lines. We have been validating this work with extensive customer scenario testing conducted alongside Juniper in their labs in Sunnyvale, California. In addition, our integration modules for other Premium OSS Alliance members' products give the service provider the ability to deliver rich IP/MPLS service offerings with intelligent, automated network management."
