Jobless MBA from Britain commits suicide

New Delhi: Unable to find a job for the last six months, a 22-year-old business graduate from Britain shot herself dead in the capital, the police said Tuesday. Meetu Singh, 22, killed herself with her father's licensed revolver Monday night at her home in Vijay Vihar area of Rithala in northwest Delhi, the police said. The deceased's father Rameshwar Singh owns a rubber factory. She was the youngest among two daughters and two sons. When Meetu committed suicide only one of her brothers was at home. The other family members had gone out shopping as her elder sister was getting married soon, a police official said. "She was rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead,: the official said. Police haven't recovered any suicide note but said Meetu was depressed after she failed to get a job since her return from Britain after completing her MBA nearly seven months ago. The police suspect this could be the reason for the extreme step. The body has been sent for an autopsy and further investigations are on to find if there was any foul play, said the police.
