Jet to fly daily to Kuwait, Bahrain

New Delhi: Private carrier Jet Airways will operate direct flights daily to Kuwait and Bahrain from Mumbai, New Delhi and Kochi in Kerala, starting Jan 5, the company announced Thursday. The airline will initially launch two daily direct flights on the Kochi-Kuwait-Kochi and Kochi-Bahrain-Kochi sectors. It will also operate daily direct flights on the Mumbai-Bahrain-Mumbai and Delhi-Kuwait-Delhi sectors. The company will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these sectors. Announcing the launch of these flights, Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO, Jet Airways, said: "With a large number of Indians living and working in the Gulf, flights to these sectors consistently register high load factors." Jet Airways' Kochi-Kuwait flight will depart from Kochi International Airport at 7.40 pm and arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 10.20 pm. Its Kuwait-Kochi flight will depart from Kuwait at 12.30 pm and arrive at Kochi at 8.20 pm. The Kochi-Bahrain flight will depart Kochi at 5.50 pm and arrive at Bahrain International Airport at 8 pm. Its Bahrain-Kochi flight will depart Bahrain at 8.45 am and arrive at Kochi at 4.10 pm. The firm's Delhi-Kuwait flight will depart from the Indira Gandhi International Airport at 9 am and arrive at Kuwait International Airport at 11 am. On the return leg, the flight will depart Kuwait at 11.50 pm and arrive at Delhi at 6.30 am. The airline's Mumbai-Bahrain flight will depart from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport at 6.05 am and arrive at Bahrain International Airport at 7.15 am. On the return leg, it will depart Bahrain at 9.30 pm and arrive at Mumbai at 3.50 am. Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 75 aircraft engaged in 350 domestic and international flights daily.
