Jataayu sets up arm in Korea

BANGALORE : Jataayu Software, a leader in the mobile technology space, on Tuesday announced setting up of a country office in Korea to expand reach in the Asia-Pacific markets. "The Korean office adds to an established presence in the Asia-Pacific region through the Singapore office", a company statement said. “The Korea office shall support Jataayu's clients in Korea and add to an existing client base. It will support the marketing and sales initiatives of the APAC office based in Singapore . A country manager has been designated to head the office and future plans include setting up of a development centre to be based out of Korea ," the statement said. According to Mahesh Jain, managing director, Jataayu Software, "Jataayu has identified Korea as a growing hub for the mobile handset market, with two of the top five companies based out of Korea.” "The Korea office will provide us the opportunity to interact closely with our key clients and build relationships with local partners in providing innovative solutions,” he said. Jataayu, the statement said, is a worldwide leader in the area of MMS, WAP, SMS, IMPS, SyncML and messaging. Jataayu offers optimised messaging and browsing solutions for mobile terminals, as well as carrier grade infrastructure software solutions, including highly scalable servers/gateways, chat, PIM and notification/alert systems for mobile operators and enterprises on GSM/GPRS/3G and CDMA environments, it said.
