NEW DELHI: The Japan Bank of International Cooperation is taking lessons in public relations from Delhi Metro. A public relations team from the Japanese bank met metro officials here Tuesday to discuss the public relations strategy and planning adopted by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), said an official statement. The DMRC is currently compiling over 5,000 articles on the metro published by the media in Delhi alone into five volumes to serve as case study material for public relations executives. Masaaki Yamada, director of press for the Japanese bank, appreciated the function of DMRC's public relations set-up and said it was a model that could be emulated by infrastructure projects across the world. The Japanese team later visited the Kashmere Gate underground metro construction sites and travelled on the Shahdara-Tis Hazari section of the metro.
