JV for biodiesel production from NE India

MUMBAI: Williamson Magor & company Ltd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with U.K. based global producer of biodiesel, D1 Oils Plc to form a joint venture company. The JV company would develop, promote and facilitate jatropha plantations in North Eastern India, the Kolkata-based company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. The joint venture company would also arrange for necessary logistics and facilities for production of biodiesel from the oil seeds harvested by the farmers, it said.
