Israeli telecom, IT delegation to visit India

NEW DELHI: A high-level Israeli business delegation, representing IT and telecom companies, will arrive on a weeklong visit to India on October 27 to explore business opportunities, said an Israeli embassy statement Monday. The delegation is likely to visit Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore where the visiting business leaders will make presentations on the state of tech industries in Israel and meet with local company officials, the statement added. The delegation members will represent sectors like networking and network management, billing, Internet, video and image processing, wireless, satellite communications, access networks, broadband, and network security. The Israeli telecom industry is one of the most dynamic and rapidly developing sectors of the country's economy, said the statement. The telecom industry benefits greatly from technologies developed in other fields and from highly trained engineers and technicians. Israeli telecom companies are leaders in developing technologies for merging data, video and voice requirements.
