Is Sony's PlayStation phone a real deal?


Bangalore: A lot of rumors have emerged regarding the Sony PlayStation phone. However, we now have some news to back up the rumors as true. At the CES in Las Vegas, Kunimasa Suzuki, Deputy President, Sony Computer Entertainment hinted at the probability of the phone. The PlayStation phone's, dubbed as the Xperia Play and Zeus Z1, specifications have emerged in the Chinese website IT168 where it was previewed. Running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the PlayStation phone is powered by Qualcomm's 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 processor paired with the Adreno 205 GPU. Sporting a 4 inch display screen with 854 X 480 resolution, the phone has a 5MP camera with LED flash. There is a microSD card slot and 512MB of RAM/ROM. A port for microUSB also exists in the phone. There are dual microphones for noise cancellation and a 1,500mAh battery. The phone comes loaded with the PlayStation Pocket app, which could well be the gaming download store. Now with that much back up we can conclude that the Sony PlayStation phone is a real deal and expect it to hit markets soon.
