Investments are looking good: PM

NEW DELHI:Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said that despite high oil prices and poor infrastructure, investments have improved in India and the future economic outlook seems positive. At a meeting with economic planners, he asked Indian entrepreneurs to seriously look at investing in South Asia, South East Asia, West Asia and Central Asia. Singh said, "I am aware of the concerns expressed by some of our businesses in this regard. Our government will be sensitive to genuine concerns." Singh also asked the industry leaders to lay more emphasis on research and development to improve competitiveness of the Indian industry.
