Invensys sets up largest development center in India

BANGALORE: Invensys Plc., a global automation, controls and process solutions Group, today announced the opening of its state-of-the-art, Invensys ‘Global Development Center’ at Vanenburg IT Park, Madhapur, Hyderabad. This 50,690 sq. ft. facility, the first of its kind, is among the largest outside US and will work for all the Invensys group companies worldwide, which include Foxboro, Simsci-Esscor and Wonderware, among others. The ‘Global Development Centre’ will be host to over 200 engineers working on the core development work related to Software, Testing and Integration. Speaking on the occasion, Annirudha Dasu, Director, Invensys India Development Centre explained, “India is a strategically important destination for Invensys in the entire scheme of the development cycle of its products. This new development centre further reinforces India’s role as the backbone to Invensys’ global operations owing to the rich pool of talent in IT and related services.” Invensys' businesses that are divided into three divisions – Production management, Developments and Rail Systems, caters to the needs of the process and batch industries - from oil & gas, power and utilities, chemicals, and rail systems to food & beverage, healthcare, and data communications.
