HYDERABAD: Intoto, has announced IntruPro Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) software version 3.0 powered by Intoto’s Inline IPS technology has received the NSS approved status award. The award was received after stringent NSS testing criteria were met for, security effectiveness, performance, stability and usability. The NSS Group is the world’s foremost independent security testing facility with British headquarters, and security and network infrastructure testing facilities in the South of France. “NSS approved is widely recognized and highly coveted award, and is becoming a requirement for many users when short listing products for purchase,” said Bob Walder, president of the NSS Group. “Not every product receives the ‘NSS Approved’ stamp in our rigorous tests, and so this is something of which Intoto should be justifiably proud.” The NSS test procedure includes a comprehensive test suite to exercise effectiveness of inline IPS devices in the most real-world environment. The test stresses on different areas of IPS system such as the detection engine, evasion, stateful operation, detection/blocking performance under load, latency, stability and reliability and management. “NSS certification is a great achievement for our IntruPro IPS product,” said Doug Makishima, vice president of marketing at Intoto. “We highly respect NSS for their extremely detailed and thorough testing process. An award from them validates our advanced intrusion detection and prevention techniques that continually provide our OEM customers with a reliable and robust IPS solution.”
