Intel Capital to invest in HelloSoft

HYDERABAD: Krishna YarlagaddaÂ’s HelloSoft Inc, a provider of high-performance communications IP for next generation VoIP, WLAN and mobile devices today announced that Intel Capital would make an equity investment as part of the Series-B funding previously announced by Hellosoft. The funding will be used for further product development and marketing. Intel will also collaborate on integrated products and go-to-market strategies involving the Intel XScale processor platforms. A company note said the Series-B round, to be closed with IntelÂ’s funding, was led by TD Capital Ventures with the participation from new investors, Mitsui & Company Venture Partners, Entrepia Ventures, and current investors including Venrock Associates, Sofinnova Ventures and Jump Startup. HelloSoftÂ’s solutions are used in next-generation mobile phones, personal digital assistants, IP phones, set-top boxes, game consoles, residential gateways, WLAN access points, carrier-class media gateways, soft switches and mobile base stations.
