3,600,000 job applications for 11,000 openings at the State Bank of India!

Bangalore: The current demand in the job market can be assessed by looking at the number of people vying for jobs at State Bank of India (SBI). Following an advertisement last month by SBI for 11,000 clerical posts, more than 36.11 lakh people
have applied for the job, many of them being post-graduates or MBAs.

1: Why not? While the level of income has been raised to a certain level which is very good and aboveall the Govt. Jobs are absolutely secured and less stressfull than Private jobs.

5: God look at the situation of my India, Government should create a favorable climate where people find better to get employed themselves and earn more than what they can get from these job salary, the feeling entrepreneurship should be given boost

6: lets do some maths

36 laks application multiply draft value 200= 72 crores rupees

now if a consultancy firm is given a contract it will provide employees with cost 5 rupees per head not more than that. and everybody knows that a bank clerk requires skill of a scientist like einstien and skills like tom cruise to wrk in a bank.
