Indian villages have proved their excellence by making extraordinary inventions. Despite many limitations like lack of education and severe cash crisis, but most of them have succeeded in using technology cost-effectively to build ingenious products, reports rediff Business. The products were exhibited at Rashtrapati Bhavan and President Pratibha Patil inaugurated the three day exhibition. The exhibition was organized by the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), a grant-in-aid institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Gopal Bhise has made a very useful device for ploughing culture operation in very small farm plots, gardens and kitchen gardens. He has fixed a rod with a blade at the end, to an assembly consisting of only the front wheel and the handle of a bicycle. He said economic frustration to even buy a pair of bullocks led him develop this device.
