BANGALORE: IndiaÂ’s IT bellwether Infosys Technologies Ltd today said it will open its first overseas remote center in Prague to augment its IMS capabilities. To be operational by April this year, the center will hire 50-60 people and double the staff within a year. Company vice president Priti Rao said InfosysÂ’ IMS business has seen a CAGR of 135 percent over last few years. "We are aiming to grow at the same level," she said. She also said the company expected revenues from its infrastructure management service (IMS) to cross $100 million this fiscal, accounting for five percent of total revenue, up from $55 million in the previous year. Infosys' IMS practice currently has around 2,000 professionals, operating from about four centers in India, of which close to 700 were added this year. The five-year-old practice has around 70 clients.
