Infosys to announce Q2 results next week

NEW DELHI: Infosys Technologies, India's largest listed software exporter, will announce its financial results for the July-September second quarter on October 10, said a company statement Tuesday.
After the release of the results, Nandan Nilekani, chief executive officer and managing director of Infosys Technologies, and other senior members of the management will comment on the company's performance, the statement added.
India's technology bellwether Infosys Technologies had earlier projected a cautious business outlook for the July-September quarter despite posting robust revenue growth for the quarter ended June 30, badly affecting market mood.
The Nasdaq-listed Infosys had said the outlook continues to remain cautious due to "delays in client visits arising from adverse travel advisories and a challenging global business environment".
The company's net profit for the quarter ended June 30 rose 14.2 percent over the same period last year on addition of new clients.
The software major's April-June net income touched a better-than-expected 
2.17 billion, up from 1.90 billion in the same quarter last year.
The company said it expanded its client portfolio by adding 23 new clients in the period and increased business benefits for existing clients through "mission critical projects".
Infosys has approximately 10,000 employees in over 30 offices worldwide.
