BANGALORE: The Phaneesh factor continues to haunt Infosys. In the space of less than a year, he has successfully persuaded six Tier 1 Infosys executives to quit and work for him, reports an Indian daily. According to Economic Times, the latest to hop on to the Phaneesh bandwagon is Mohan Sekhar who was formerly head of IT delivery operations for North America at Infosys. Sekhar is joining iGate Global as chief delivery officer, IT services. Delivery executives are responsible for smooth and timely execution of projects/orders won by companies. Meanwhile, there is said to have been another departure at a senior level from Infosys. The CEO of a leading head hunting firm said Srinath Murthy, vice president, delivery, South and mid-West region, US, at Infosys has also put in his papers. This news, however, could not be confirmed and it isn’t known whether he is joining Phaneesh too. Infosys has four executives in charge of delivery for different regions of the US, its biggest market. With the departure of Ramesh Adkoli, who was responsible for Canada and North East, Infosys has lost two of them and if Sekhar who was overall in charge is included, the figure goes upto to three. Sekhar, 41, was with Infosys for five years. He has 17 years experience in the IT industry. Speaking to the daily, he said he managed the delivery operations for approximately 47% of Infosys revenues and was also responsible for systems integration, infrastructure management and independent validation services worldwide.
