Infosys' Finacle to power core operations of Greece-based bank

BANGALORE:Infosys Technologies Ltd today said that Greece based Aspis Bank has signed up for its Finacle universal banking solution to power core banking and treasury operations across 66 branches. Aspis Bank has chosen Finacle solution to replace legacy systems and drive the transformation initiative, Infosys said here today in a release. "This is an important milestone in our legacy core banking replacement journey. Within this market space, Europe, in particular, is a key focus market for Finacle and we have made significant investments in getting our products and delivery aligned to the needs of the market," Infosys Technologies Vice President Merwin Fernandes said. According to Aspis Bank General Manager (Operations & IT) George Dayantis this is a strategic project for the bank and is core to their technology led transformation initiative. "We are confident that by migrating from our current legacy systems to Finacle, it will provide our bank business agility and time-to-market advantage," he said.
