Informatica reports 4Q rev of $56.7 M

REDWOOD CITY: Informatica Corp's fourth-quarter profit more than doubled, as revenue rose 13%.
The data-integration and business-software company said in a press release Thursday that net income rose to $4.02 million, or 4 cents a diluted share, from $1.49 million, or 2 cents a share, a year earlier.
Earnings before items rose to $5.42 million, or 6 cents a diluted share, from $1.8 million, or 2 cents a share, in the quarter last year. Results on this basis exclude charges related to the amortization of acquired technology, intangible assets and stock-based compensation, purchased in-process research and development and restructuring.
Wall Street expected the company's earnings before items to total 4 cents a share, according to Thomson First Call (News - Websites) , which polled 15 analysts.
