Indra Nooyi is the new Pepsico CEO

CHICAGO: Indra Nooyi, the current President and chief Financial Officer of Pepsico, has been named as the new CEO, the company announced Monday.
Nooyi, of Indian origin, will become the CEO from October 1 and will succeed Steve Reinemund, who plans to retire next May. Nooyi has been the President and Chief Financial Officer of the company since 1994.
Pepsico, with this this promotion, become the second largest U.S. company to be headed by a woman, behind Archer Daniels Midland Co., which has Patricia Woertz its Chief Executive in April.
