MUMBAI: Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd has decided to scale down production at its Butibori plant in Nagpur effective from Tuesday due to the prevailing uncertain market conditions in the textile industry owing to CENVAT related issues and transporters' strike. The company will commence the process of scaling down production of continuous polymerisation plants one by one at Butibori. It also plans to initiate maintenance of these plants, which was expected to be completed in approximately three weeks, Indo Rama informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Normal production is expected to resume sometime in the middle of next month and the company expects to complete the maintenance during this period, it added.
