Uninor is a mobile network operator, which is headquartered in Gurgaon, India. The company is a joint venture between Telenor Group, a telecommunication company based in Osla, Norway and Unitech Group, an Indian real estate company. The company provides mobile telephony and data services in India’s 22 telecom circles excluding Delhi and is commercially available in 13 circles across India. Uninor has 36 million customers as on December 2011 and currently has market share of 4.64 percent in Indian telecom sector.

Aircel group is mobile network operator headquartered in Chennai.  It is a joint venture between Maxis Communications Berhad of Malaysia with 74 percent share holdings and Sindya Securities & Investments Private Limited, whose majority of shares are owned by Apollo Hospitals Group of India. The company started its operations in 1999 and it is a leading mobile telephony and data provider in Tamil Nadu, Assam, Chennai and north eastern states. The company has largest service in Tamil Nadu. Aircel Group has 7.26 percent market share in Indian telecom sector.
