BANGALORE: Indian managers are not yet ready for capturing the outside world for their juniors, outgoing Vice-President and Chairman of Wipro Technologies Vivek Paul has said. In a exclusive interview to siliconindia, Paul said though Indian managers are good at their jobs, they have not been able to capture the outside world for their juniors, which in turn will hurt the prospects of the companies they work for. “They (senior managers) live in a deterministic world while the real world is not deterministic. The junior managers must scale up for the unknown, only then their sense of confidence will grow and their inner force will be unleashed,” Paul said. He also said the opportunity for learning more is running out and unless Indian managers grow, junior managers and companies will suffer. He also said despite growing world-class companies, senior managers in India are overly respectful of foreigners, which they need to shed in order to develop more close relationship with clients.
