TIRUCHIRAPALLI: India has a better and more vibrant breed of entrepreneurs than any other country, but lack of proper infrastructure is impeding entrepreneurial development, experts said today. "The flair and penchant for the breed of job providers was more vibrant in India than job seekers and that aspect was very much visible in India than any other country, especially the European countries," said Peter Harman, Deputy Chief Executive, United Kingdom Business Incubation, UK. Inadequate infrastructure for entrepreneurial development was a gray area that needs to be addressed, Harman said. Echoing similar views, Rold Friedichsdorf, Vice-Chairman, Association of German Science Parks and Business Incubators, said after the second world war, the concept of small and medium business ventures dwindled in the subsequent decades. Only in the recent years, it had caught momentum among the present generation, he said. Sweden had demonstrated this momentum by becoming a country of job providers, rather than job seekers. Of late, business incubators enjoyed more patronage and popularity in Sweden, said Olle Stenberg, Chairman, Sweden Science Park. The experts were here to conduct a five-day training program meant for the heads of business incubators in India.
