Indian entrepreneur to address UAE green meet

Dubai: An Indian entrepreneur, who is a pioneer in the field of 'sustainable tourism' will share his experiences of involving local communities in tourist activities here at the Gulf region's first international conference on the issue. Gopinath Parayil, who set up his company 'The Blue Yonder' in Bangalore in 2004 to create specialised tours to Northern Kerala's Bharatapuzha region, will present his experience as a case study on how low impact environmental tours can deliver social and economic benefits to local communities. Pariyal will address the World Green Tourism conference and exhibition to be held in Abu Dhabi from November 22-24. World Green Tourism is the first global event in the Gulf region dedicated to the investment and development of sustainable tourism.
