CHENNAI: The Chennai-based Computer-Aided Design and Development (CADD) Center will set up 10 learning stations in Malaysia. The CADD Center has signed a memorandum of understanding with Yayasan Perak, a Malaysian government organization, to enter the Malaysian computer education market, said R. Parthasarathy, executive director of the Indian Center. Basic courses would first be offered in English. Courseware in Malay will be developed subsequently to meet the demand. The first 10 centers will come up by next year, he said late Thursday. A team of experts will visit Malaysia next week to study the requirements for the CADD Center in that country. "At first our company will operate on a franchise basis, we will consider other modules of expansion after we assess the market response," Parthasarathy said. An official of the Malaysian organization said they were looking forward to more business proposals from India in manpower training, especially in engineering, communication technology and IT.
