Indian Republic Day Celebrations in US
Bangalore: The Indian organizations in New Jersey have decided to celebrate India’s republic day. Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords at New Jersey will be the venue of the event.
“We want to teach the younger generation about the strength of our motherland,” said Atma Singh, who is the president of Indian Congress Party, USA, a social unit claiming loyalty to the ruling Congress Party of India. “The younger generation of Indian Americans who were born and raised in USA knows very little about India and its constitutional structure.”
School students will be engaged in various theme related activities which will be based on the constitution, federal structure and history of the country. The celebrations will commence from 11 in the morning and will be of 4 hours duration.
Atma Singh also said that important community leaders who have roots in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Orissa, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have been invited to be a part of Republic day celebration. “Leading entrepreneurs and professionals from different fields of activities will share the same platform in the honor of the world’s greatest democracy,” he commented.
