Indian Railways will construct 7500 new railway stations

Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh: To take Indian Railways to the top in terms of largest network in the world, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad said Indian railway is constructing 7500 new railway stations across the country. The Railways had got on an ambitious project to construct over-bridges at all major crossings, told Lalu. The aim of this project is to improve the rail traffic. 44 projects worth over Rs 9,000 crore were being undertaken in North India. He also informed that, he had requested Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati to provide land to establish a rail coach factory at Raebareli.
