Udhampur: Indian troops are on a high state of vigil along the frontier with China and the infrastructure build-up on the other side does not pose a threat, a top Indian Army commander said Wednesday. "The Chinese infrastructure across the LAC (Line of Actual Control) does not pose any threat to us," Lt. Gen. P.C. Bhardwaj, the general officer commanding-in-chief of the strategic Northern Command that guards India's borders with China and Pakistan, told reporters at its headquarters here, 70 km from Jammu and Kashmir's winter capital Jammu. To specific questions about China's emerging strength and its activities across the 646 LAC in Kashmir, Bhardwaj said that these were not causing any undue concern as "our troops are also maintaining maximum vigil all over".
